winfast tv2000xp deluxe problem

hi....i have the above capture card and it used to work fine on my old compaq motherboard. i recently changed my case and had to get a new motherboard which is now an ASROCK P4VT8+ i downloaded the latest drivers for the card and installed the card. installation went fine. but when i tried recording....the video would either be really jerky or would record for a few seconds and then hang. tried recording in many different modes as well but most of them didn't work properly. tried uninstalling the new drivers and then reinstalling the older ones...but halfway during installation it always resets my com, no matter what. are there some settings for the pci slots that i can adjust?? maybe transfer speed or something that is probably causing the video to lag?? coz i can watch fine, only when i record it lags....please help. also tried the latest drivers for the motherboard and different pci slot but no diff....
