Yet further type of Radeon 9600xt display corruption

We had a Geforce3 Ti200 - all worked fine. Replaced with Abit 9600xt. Also runs well, including Doom3 demo, but for these two problems. The first is that the display screen occasionally wobbles slightly, or a half-centimeter line of unevenness will occur on part of the screen. This also happens on the boot screen before XP has booted. Thought it was plug or card seating problem, but have cleaned them.

Second problem is that Far Cry demo would run on Ti200, gives Critical Exception with 9600.

Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.

Athlon 1800 (under- or overclock makes no difference)
Epox nforce2 (Latest BIOS, drivers)
512 ram
400 power supply

Have now localised problem to monitor - can be brought on by lightly jolting it. Seems unlikely, but problem must have been coincidental with installing new card. Will have monitor checked, or if too dear, get a new one.
