i downloaded but.....

hi to every..
i downloaded mysql-3.23.12beta.tar.gz
but i dont know how to gunzip it i am using win 95 machine. somebody told that gunzip only works with unix only.


what can i do to for installing mysql in my(
win95+omni+php) in my machine
any body please....

1. It is a more recent version of the 3.23 series

2. It is a Windows binary, so you won't have to compile it. The original file you downloaded would be useless unless you have a C/C++ development environment

3. It is a standard zip file that can be opened with WinZip or PKzip

i created a table

table1(int num(11),
data text); --ok.

i am dumping data in to the data field like this format
*hello *hai *everybody *than like

when i am retrieving the data from the database the data should be

*hello
*hai
*everybody
*than like

in this way. is it possible. is there any alternative method.

do you noticed that
