Does anyone know if any of the versions of MySql will work on Windows 2000? I tried loading the Beta version 3.23. It loaded just fine, but when I tried to start the service it didn't start. I just got the Command prompt (with no ability to type anything in) for about 10-15 seconds and then it vanished. Nothing happened. Might I be doing something wrong or will a different version work?

Thanks for the help.

Greg

It's working fine - that's what you get on any version of Windows.

You don't have to type anything in... It just displays the command prompt while it's loading...

Anti,

If you start MySql as a service do you know what that service is called? Do I then just use the command prompt to access the database?

Thanks.
