I maintain my table in Access then export them to the MySQL database via ODBC. What I would like to do is overwrite the entire table each time, but instead I need to telnet in to the serv er, select the database, drop the table and then re-export the table from Access.

I want to dispense with dropping the table and overwrite the whole thing - Can it be done?

Several ways to do this I am sure there are more.

    1. Dispense with updating locally and create a link table to the MySql database and point your forms to this link.

    2. If you want to update offline still create a link to the table and create a query to delete the contents of the linked table. Create another query to copy from the local table to the linked table.

    3. Create a pass through query to drop the table, another pass through query to create it. Populate with an update query as in "2".

    4. Get someone else to do your original way for you!
