Hi,
i successfully installed apache 1.3.6 and php3 on win98. They both are working fine. But when i downloaded the latest shareware version of mySQL and installed it, i am having problems with mySQL. It runs ok on DOS prompt and but i cannot connect to it through php3. Can anyone tell me on how to create databases using php3 and then how show the results of query. In the php3.ini file there is a paragraph on mySQL which i guess might need to be configured, it asks for hostname, default username, pwd, port etc. Regards, Faisal Khan.

you need to run mysqladmin create dbname and also make sure you have your access privs correct for the hostname you
have Apache running as.

i successfully installed OMNIHTTPD 2.06 and php3 on win95. They both are working fine. Regards, I have problem to install mysql . please tell me what are all needed to install mysql in my machine. you are the right person to .., nobody is replyin me please help...
