Does MySQL automatically saves databases once they are created or do you have to manually save them? I build one yesterday & today it is gone, but I can't find anything so far relating to saving the database.

No, there are no saved features but you can
type in mysql -u root -p type in : - show databases Maybe you can find your database that way. |

Are you running WinMysql? I continually lost a whole database I was testing with that, and was told it was the progams fault.
