on command prompt window (shell)type mysql
your database will start. if you have given it a pass word type mysql -p it will then prompt you for your password if the data base isn't running at all try this the path to mysqld/mysqld & eg. /usr/local/bin/mysqld & if this doesn't work get back Des |
