    vb6 + mysql tutorial


    hi, someone knows were can i find a tutorial for visualbasic 6 and mysql, or if you how to connect to my database and get results from dbs and tables.

    For the most part, using MySQL as a database with VB is very similar to using any other database. In other words, once you get the connection open, examples in the documentation or books for Access or SQL Server should work with little or no modification.

    Here's an example of connecting to a MySQL database and opening a recordset:

    I have written a few examples I have posted on my site. These examples are not the greatest. I plan to write more so check back. dcaillouet is right it is a lot like using ADO type connection in VB.
