I have a table IMAGETB with a field IMAGEFLD of type LONGBLOB. I have a file C:myimage.jpg. I would like to insert the file into the table. I know that people suggest that it is more efficent to store the path into the table but I have to do some testings with storing the files into tables. I cannot fined any reference to this process. Is it possible to do it from shell or it has to be from a program? Whot would be the command to do that? I am new with MySQL and any reference to inserting files into tables would be helpful.

"If you want to store binary data like images and html files directly in your MySQL database, this column is for you!" - quoted from the article below
