    Hello,

I am creating a table with one of the fields being of type VARCHAR (50). I am using LOAD DATA INFILE to import the data. Is it ok for the VARCHAR field to have a value like this:
"Bob's Place" with the '? If not, how would I add it?

    Thanks!

Should be OK to leave ' as is if you're using LOAD DATA INFILE

Otherwise, if you're processing form data, you can use

    $text=addslashes($text); in a PHP script
