    Hi

    I store danish special chars in my db without any problems.

    There is one 'but', tho:
    If you use the db for a 'international' site it's a good idea to convert them either when you store the data or when you present them. (eg. convert to & #199 ; )

    Also put:
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">

    in your header statement. The ISO8859-1 character set (Latin-1) is supported is supported by Netscape and Explorer both.

    Hope this helps you

    One piece of advice on converting. Do it before DISPLAY not before insert into the db. If you need to edit in a textbox later it'll be easier.

    Hi!
    I store the special characters (8bit) in DB
    and convert it, using htmlentities(),
    just for display. It works!

    Thanks folks
