    What's the command you use to run a .mysql file when connected to mysql using telnet?

    Much Appreciated.

    By a .mysql file, do you mean a file containing sql commands?

    If that's the case, then you can run it from the UNIX command prompt, not within the mysql client.

    $ mysql -u uname -ppassword < file.sql

    file.sql should contain...

    use dbname;

    sql statement 1

    sql statement 2...

    sql statement n

    I hope I understood the question correctly.
