Here's a topic that's not code related for all of you. Recently I've decided to pick up a book on MySQL and the leading contender is the Oreilly one. Do any of you have this / recommend it or are there any other better resources that you could recommend?

I like the O'reilly book myself (ISBN: 1-56592-434-7). New Riders is supposed to have a pretty good one too. http://www.newriders.com/books/title...sbn=0735709211

Judging from the websites for each book the New Riders one seems to far more thorouh than the oreilly.

I can definitely recommend the New Riders book by DuBois. As a newbie, I started with this book and it gave me a thorough introduction concerning MySQL. Now it helps me as a well structured reference for my everyday work.

Now I am looking for a book or online tutorial that teaches me more about MySQL. So I'd like to add a question regarding any recommendations on some text dealing with advanced SQL queries.
