Installing ODBC driver on Windows without rebooting
I just installed the 32-bit ODBC driver on a production server. Normally, the machine needs to be rebooted in order to for Windows to recognize the driver. Does anyone know of a work-around to get Windows to see the driver without having to reboot? This is a Windows Server 2008 install. thanks.
EDIT: I managed to resolve this. It wasn't a matter of the machine needing a reboot. Instead, since I installed the 32-bit version of the driver on a 64-bit windows installation, I had to manage the DSN using (c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe) instead of the link to Data Sources in Administrator Tools.
