    Nightmare....

we are testing the Upgrade in place package upgrade

we upgraded from 5.0.51a to 5.1.71 to 5.5.33 , we had to run everything manual and use many work arounds as Oracle upgrade_mysql script has not work. We have been working with OTN to go to the next level of 5.6.12 and we are getting strange permission issues and the system adds copies of my.cnf files in new locations and changes locations where things should be located. This is the 9th day for the SR to be open and it is at a Severity 2.

Honestly I am NOT impressed in the "upgrade in Place" approach that MySQL uses, Oracle DB does it so much better.
