    Syntax Issue

    I'm trying to get a db dump, but it doesn't like my request:
    MariaDB [(none)]> mysqldump sandwich > /home/root/sandwich.sql;
    ERROR 1064 (42000): You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near 'mysqldump sandwich > /home/root/sandwich.sql' at line 1
    I can't seem to see the problem.

    mysqldump is a different program, you need to be executing it from a shell not a Maria DB console.
