Desktop Streaming
Greetings all,
I have a client that has a web-based application built in .Net technologies. The company provides remote/web based training lead by live instructors. And the app they had built (%60 completion) takes registered users, shows them the classes they need to complete, etc.
Currently they are utilizing Microsoft Live meeting to host these training sessions.
This posses a problem... Users never use the management site because they are going to the Microsoft site to enter the meeting. User attendance is manual, because there is no way to effectively integrate into live meeting... and another major annoyance is that the live meeting site is not brand-able to my client.
My client is needing a "streaming" solution that can stream an instructor lead powerpoint presentation onto the web. They would also like to have the markup tools where they can notate slides and bring attention to key areas when students have questions. (not a necessity, but would be killer)
As it stands, the instructor selects a local ppt file that is uploaded to livemeeting, then is streamed out. This is an instructor lead class (via conf call), so the instructor clicks to activated slide in txt, active content in the ppt and the next slide.
We would like to have a repository of presentations/ training courses loaded onto our site / application. Where the content is ready to be streamed.
If anyone has experience or knowledge in this type of solution, your input is highly appreciated!
Thanks in Advance,
ATM
