How to generate HTML pages using ASP.NET with C# ?

    Hi Everyone,

    How can I generate HTML pages like http://www.selleckchem.com/ using ASP.NET 3.5 or 4.0 with C# ?

If you view the http://www.selleckchem.com/ and look into the URL, almost all of the pages are HTML pages.

I need HTML pages because I want SEO.

    Thanks,

    May

    You don't.
The technology wasn't designed around SEO.
You use .aspx pages, and the code behind gets compiled into .DLLs

But search engine spiders can certainly handle non-HTML sites, to think that's all they can process is silly.
Search engine spiders can still crawl your site, my personal site is a .NET site and it shows up in Google searches.

What you CAN do is switch to MVC, while it is also .aspx, the page content is much closer to raw HTML and is a easier for SEO to be processed. But overall, .NET works fine too.

    try url rewriting

as Ronster suggested, .aspx work fine as well, you dont have to have .html pages.. But still if u like html so much then you can try url rewriting which basically converts a url of about.aspx to about.html
