    Gridview XML Format

    Hi,

    I'm using the gridview with an XML file but run into probems with my XML file, its format is:

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
    <gsmddata>
    <record>
    <description>AAAAA</description>
    <totalno>151</totalno>
    <fielddate>20/06/12</fielddate>
    </record>
    <record>
    <description>BBBB</description>
    <totalno>887</totalno>
    <fielddate>26/09/12</fielddate>
    </record>
    <record>
    <description>CCCCCCC</description>
    <totalno>155</totalno>
    <fielddate>07/06/12</fielddate>
    </record>
    </gsmddata>
    I can use this with a javascript grid but is this not the correct format for a ASP.Net Gridview?

    Hi,

    The format is correct also for ASP.net Gridview. Do you get an error? Maybe you use a false encoding. Try utf-8 instead of ISO-8859-1

    Thanks Michael for you reply,

    I have changed the type as stated but still no entries in the grid - there is no error just a blank grid.
