What should I know before trying C#?
I have a basic understanding of many programming languages (Basic, Pascal, HTML, Javascript, PhP, C, C++, VB). I was wondering if this basic knowledge qualifies to tryout C#. Is it similar to C++?

you could define "C#" as "C++ using .net classes instead of (MFC, AFX??? what was it called?)"
Should really be no issue for you then ![]() Download the .net sdk for free at www.microsoft.com, iirc it even comes with a C# compiler.

I would say that knowing Java first would be FAR more useful for learning C#. The truth is, they opened the book on how Java was designed when they made C#. The resemblance in many areas is uncanny.
