Include a common menu in all pages

I have an ASP.NET/C# application that takes its layout from a master page. Now, I would like to include a common menu bar in all pages. I have made this menu using the asp:menu tool. What's the best way to include my menu in all pages? I've looked into include but it seems the general consensus online is that it should not be used.
    Cheers,

Put the menu control *in* the master page. it will then be in all child pages.
