    Time formatting issue

    Hello there Gurus,

    Right, my issue is this:

    DATE_FORMAT(`DateAdded`, '%D %M %Y') as AddedDate

When using this excerpt in my query (query functions fine), I have the date formatted as I wish through the 'temporary' variable as defined using the 'AS' instruction.

    I get this variable assigned to a textbox.text = BuildDetail("AddedDate").ToString

But when I run the script, I get System.Byte[] displayed instead; what interests me is that this only happens on my active server (work's server), and not on my development laptop server, and I can't fathom as to why.

    Any thoughts?

I might just stick with the default TIME_STAMP that the field gets populated with when a record is newly created.

    Thanks,

    MRb

    UPDATE:

I have narrowed this down to the use of MySqlDataReader, something happens through this which 'distorts' the variable, because I ran the query directly through the query browser and it returned the data correctly.

So if anyone out there knows what I should do, or if there is something that happens using MySqlDataReader, could you please enlighten me.

    Thank you.

    MRb
