2 routers one droid ip camera

I'm at a loss. I have 2 routers, one in my house the other in the garage connected by cat6. DHCP on the first one off on the second. I can't for the life of me see the camera from the internet, only my local network. I tried forwarding ports and DMZ with no luck. Is this even possible? Everything else works as it should, basically 2 different wifi spots with different names. Thank you.

Lets start with the basics. Can you ping or reach or even view the camera on the LAN?

Also im guessing you have given the camera a static private IP?

The phone (camera) has an ip handed out by the router- 192.1.etc. I can view it only from my lan.

Ok so firstly i would assign a staic ip to the camera instead of using DHCP, because when you get all working and the DHCP lease expires, you will be assigned a new IP which will throw all the port forwarding out again.

So give your camera a static IP to start with
