ADSL through sis 900

Hi I have just got ADSL and it was fast but it slowed my system down to the point of crashing and I was only running kazaa lite (8 downloads) and a bit of browsing

Any way I learnt that it was because I was using a USB modem so I did some research and an Ethernet modem is more stable

But I have a sis 900 built in to my motherboard I think it’s an Ethernet modem
It has phone line in

So these are my questions

Is a sis 900 capable of running ADSL?
If so how? (Idiot proof guide)
