Bandwidth Controlling over wireless network.....HELP

Hi
I have a 2048kbps Internet Source. I want to provide this service to other people by the use of 1Mbps wireless network. How do I limit the speed of each wireless client to less than 1Mbps (56kbps for example)?
Can any one help me

You'll need to install software on the Internet gateway computer with the ability to control bandwidth. Microsoft ISA server can do this, but if you setup a Linux machine, the Squid Proxy software can also do this I think.

Thank you edwinbrains,
But I want a professional method to limit the speed over such network. because I want to manage the bandwidth for each client of about 400 clients. So, I think that there is a specific device that can manage those clients by IPs or Mac Adresses, or that may be done by the frimware software of an Access point that providing the wireless service. I am uesing a Cisco Access Point model AP350. I may replace it with another sutable access point if it is usefull to do the job.
What is your advices?

Thanks again

Well, some more research tells me that the latest version of ISA server 2004 doesn't actually include bandwidth control, so that wouldn't be of much use to you.

What you could get is a product that you connect between your access point and the router, such as this: http://www.ydi.com/products/bcu.php. This can limit the bandwidth based on IP/mac address and may work for you. But I'm not completely sure if I'm accurate with what I'm saying, so it may be better to wait for a second opinion from someone more knowledgeable than me

bandwidth control and allocation

Hi, my reply is quite late already but I would suggest that you try Allot NetEnforcer Bandwidth Manager Product. It has a very powerful monitoring and reporting. You can set bandwidth/policies by IP, range of IPs, subnet, host or even MAC address. To get more info, go to www.allot.com.

Hope this helps...
