Hi,
To get the computers networking try some of these things: Make sure the computers are on the same workgroup. Make sure TCP/IP network protocol installed on both computers. Set IP addresses correctly: Eg: computer 1 (with Internet connection) IP:192.168.0.1 subnet: 255.255.255.0 computer 2 IP: 192.168.0.2 subnet: 255.255.255.0 You then should be able to ping from one computer to another. If you can't, are the cables / wireless connection working OK?Is there any firewall software running? To share the Internet, the first computer with the Internet connection should have a feature called Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) - I'm pretty certain this comes with 98. You need to enable this, and on the second computer, in TCP/IP settings, set the default gateway to 192.168.0.1 HTH, Edwin |

You may have to go to Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/Windows Setup/Communications and check Internet Connection Sharing. It isn't installed by default.
