Can I specify 2 boot disks in eeprom boot sequence?
(please don't laugh)
SUN SPARC Ultra 1 I am building this machine as a single domain web server. Disk 0 is my primary and Disk 1 is an exact mirror. I would like to set the eeprom boot sequence to first try 0, and if that fails, then try 1. The idea is if I have a failure of the primary, a simple reboot will load the secondary. Is this possible? If so, how? I can set the eeprom boot-sequence to either the first OR the second disk, but I haven't been able to get it to accept both. |

I'll answer this myself
Shutdown the machine, and enter the rom monitor.
Enter the following command from the '>' prompt: >setenv boot-device disk disk1 If both disks are bootable, then either will boot up, when the other does not exist. |
