Can't Ping one PC

In a home network with a wireless router and 3 PC's is Netbios or spx/ipx required to ping or network between the pc's?

I have one PC that I can't ping from the router or any other PC in my network. I can't use netbios or any non TCP/IP protocols because I use a program called secureID to connect to my work PC. When I attempt to activate netbios or SPX/IPX the SecureID program warns me that I cannot enable any non TCP/IP protocols when using the SecurID access program. I have disabled all firewalls and still cannot ping the PC. Is there anything I can do?

XP Pro SP2 on all PC's new linksys router. All pc's can access the internet.

Thanks
Jon

I only have one PC on the wireless portion of my router and that PC isn't having any problems pinging to it. All my PC's have sp2 and only one is having a problem. The one I can't install netbui or SPX/IPX.

My real goal is to be able to remote desktop to the PC that I am having problems pinging. I just figured I first need to figure out why I can't ping it. Remote desktop works to all the PC's except the one I can't ping. But I can remote desktop from that PC to anywhere.

ping uses ICMP not TCP so maybe that secure program is blocking your pings. I don't use remote desktop, it may use UDP or something other than TCP also.

Doug
You are exactly right. The program was blocking everything except TCP/IP traffic. The program is actually called Secure client. Some sort of secure VPN. It has a firewall built in. I learned alot in the past 20 hours.

Thanks for your help

Jon
