Can't print on my wireless network? What is wrong?

I have a Win Me desktop hooked together with a Win XP laptop on a wireless network. They both access the internet fine using a cable modem/ router.

I'm having problems printing on the laptop, to the desktop's printer. I don't know what could be wrong...

I shared the printer on the desktop. I installed the printer using the printer wizard on the laptop. On my laptop, I can even browse on the wireless network and select the correct printer to print to. But when it comes to printing, the error "Cannot start print job" pops up. I can't even print a test page.

What else can I be doing wrong? Both computers are logged on using username/ password. HELP!

Are there any firewalls on either computer? Can you ping between the two computers?

Power level

silly as it sounds, I've had better luck with my laptop on AC than on battery. Try re-hooking up with the laptop on AC.
