cannot open web configuration for adsl/router 10.0.0.2 ...HELP!

Hi all,

I have a problem with my new adsl modem/router. It connects to the internet fine
and even lets me share it over a network. However it isn't letting me log in to or
even access the router's web configuration - it simply displays 'cannot find server' 'page
unavailable', like the one you get when you can't access a website.

I have scoured the net for answers and solutions but sadly have found nothing that
helps. The configuration page had been working but has just recently decided not
to. My connection is assigned by DHCP, it automatically assigns an ip address for
the connection and lets me go on the internet.

please help if you can!

thanks in advance

Adam

Are you sure that the address is 10.0.0.2? Perhaps you should reset your router. There's probably a small button on the back somewhere you can push. If you hold it down for a certain length of time, it may get reset to factory defaults. A firmware upgrade then may be a good idea.
