cannot share internet

I've crossover cable connection between my 2 PC's of which 1 is directly connected to the net(cable net thru LAN).I can share files between the 2 PC's but i cant PING the address of one computer from the other,hence cannot share internet.If anyone can help,it'll be great

You say you are connected by LAN, this insists that you have two nic cards in your interent machine. You first need to verify that ICS is turned on on both machines. Also, make sure that your IP information is correct.

I would just use a hub because its far more superior than a simple x-over cable..but thats just me
