Changed domain to workgroup- can't get in
I was trying to configure an old work laptop running XP pro to work on my home network. Managed to figure out that I needed to change domain to workgroup, but when it restarted after the change it wouldn't let me back in. Asks for username and password that won't work anymore. Is there any other way for me to get in to fix the problem?

The computers was authenticating through the domain server and probably had a local account as well, when you changed the settings it no longer has an account to log on to. You will need to get the admin user name most likely administrator and the admin password to get in and create an account (user). If all else fails I would suggest format and re-install the OS.

If you can't find the password, perhaps you should look at these programs:
