Doesn't sound like you know what a mac address is if you are asking this question.
The mac [ethernet address] address is a 40bit UNIQUE address burned into a network interface card [nic] rom. Many today have the option of a "locally administered" address which means you can put in your own 40bit address. There are no laws governing this so it can't be "illegal" |
