Cisco 827 password recovery
I try to do password recovery on a Cisco dsl 827 router
It seems not to boot up any more after those two steps: rommon 1 > confreg 0x2142 You must reset or power cycle for new config to take effect rommon 2 > reset I can't connect it through console, and also both ETHERNET RXD and TXD stay on green even though there is no network connection. Anyone has any ideas would really appreciate!!

Go to cisco's site and do a search It will tell you how to recover your password. They do not consider this to be a security risk because you must have physical access to the console port. It should be right on there site. Just look up the model.
