Connecting my 2 computers
I have 2 computers just about next to each other and I was wondering how i can completely connect both computers and basically run off each other. How would i Do this?

Not really sure what you are asking... Perhaps you could expand a little.
If you just want to network the two machines together, you'll need to buy a NIC card for each machine and a switch. Connect each NIC card to the switch and then setup networking in each computer. You don't say what OS you are using, but firstly you'll need to assign a computer name to each machine, and make sure they are using the same workgroup - the default is MSHOME. Assign them IP addresses (or get a DHCP server on a router to do it automatically) and you should be able to get the computers networking. I don't know what you mean by "completely connect". With this setup, you can easily share things like the Internet, printers and files, but if you want clustering, this is quite different. |
