Connectivity, Setting up DNS etc.
Hi all, Got a real quick question
I added a box to a current network (on the rack) and set it up with windows 2000 (dont poke fun) and sql server 2000. I am going to use it to run SPS when I get server 2003 finally...Here is the issue. I can not for some reason get the damn box to connect to the internet. I have tried to renew/release IPs, etc. set the thing to look at the DNS server, changed its IP around...Anyone have a link to a guide, any suggestions? |

What does it's ipconfig look like? Has it got an Ip address on the same subnet as the rest of the network? Can it ping the gateway? Has it got good DNS servers? Can it ping the DNS servers?
