coonecting wireless router to router within network
I have just purchased a NETGEAR wireless router to add to an existing setup with and Origo router with USB print server built in. I need to keep the print server facility but also need wireless for two laptops. I have proceeded as far as I can with disabling DHCP on the NETGEAR with no success. At present I have swapped over routers, the NETGEAR is now the primary router with DHCP and the Origo with print server is connected to a LAN port on the NETGEAR, I do not seem to be able to connect to any printers or access the ORIGOs internal settings via a browser.

Shame you just didn't get a netgear fm114P which is a wireless router with builtin printserver or just a wireless access point.
but with that said I will bet you are connecting your Orego routers wan port to the netgears switch port. Instead us a crossover from the netgear switch port to the orego's switch port. this will turn the orego into a glorifed switch but dhcp traffic should go thru now. |
