The dependency service or group failed to start

    hi

I have moved into a halls and have a wired connection on my laptop... i have been trying to set it up so i can use my laptop as a hot spot..
so i downloaded virtual router manager...

I had a few problems and managed to get it to show up on my phones wireless... but it just wont connect.. it lets me enter a password etc then just keeps trying to connect,

I keep getting the message on the virtual router manager program 'the dependency service or group failed to start'

even when i go in to the connection connections and try to change the sharing connections this message comes up...

    any ideas??

what services does your virtual router manager (VRM) program depend on?

are these services running when you are trying to run your VRM program?

have you tried running the VRM program with "elevated privileges" [assuming win7+ for OS]?

have you read thru the documentation? ...assuming HERE

    Agree with DonR

Check the dependancy services. There is one or more services required that are not running. When you find out what they are, you can manually try starting them.
