DHCP Network having issues with one computer

I have 5 computers setup on my local network 4 of them are having no problems connecting the fifth can connect to the network but can not get online I have reset TCPIP and still nothing I just keep getting can not detect proxy settings or DNS error any ideas guys

I presume that you can connect to the network OK, just not the Internet. Can you see if you can access http://66.102.11.104 ? If you can, then there is a DNS problem. You need to find out your ISPs DNS servers and enter them as the DNS servers in the NIC properties.

make sure that the gateway setting is pointing towards your PC or router sharing out the internet. If you don't have a router, GET ONE!!

As far as DHCP, well we won't go there for edwins sake, hehe... Just kidding.

Extra info would be nice ...

Just wondered - did the network work ok in the past?? or did you just add a new computer?

Some routers have 5 connectors at the back, but the 5th one is not really a LAN I don't think because I connect my DSL modem there
