DHCP PC wont appear in Workgoup

I have a DHCP device that will only appear in my workgroup places if I set it as a Static IP. All the other computers on my network are DHCP and will appear just fine in the network places.

Are there any known issues or requirements for a DHCP device to be seen in network places?

Are you certain that it's obtaining a correct address when DHCP is activated? You don't say what OS you are using, so this will vary, but you should be able to open up the status for the network connection and check that a correct IP address has been assigned. It should be similar to one you would assign manually.
