DNS, Domain Tree Assignment Issue

Hi all,

Got a quick question regarding DNS settings and domain trees. Currently, we have our network set up as the domain suffix being whatever.com, so to get to our servers you can type in filserver1.whatever.com and it wil bring up the share folders etc. However, when trying to go to our website that is hosted under the same domain, www.whatever.com, it won't resolve within the network. I know that this is a DNS issue, I am just not that adept at DNS troubleshooting. SO in aggregrate, the problem is resolution. The reason that this is coming up is I am trying to deploy SPS under inside.whatever.com, and since it can't resolve the domain, I think that it is getting the same issue. Any advice from those networking gurus is appreciated!

One More thing

I dont know if this is relevant but when I type in the domain (www.whatever.com) into the browser bar the site does resolve ON THE SERVER. Not on the client machine, again I think its my crappy DNS set up.
