DNS Issue, only on inside network, resolves fine outside
Hi all,
Well here is the issue. On the internal network where I am, all of our servers are joined on a domain, www.whatever.com, they all are in that. There is one Domain controller, one web server (running sharepoint and project), and one file and print server, and another for VPN access. The issue is, on the internal network when someone say wants to visit the website that the domain is joined on, they type in their browser www.whatever.com. This will not display for them. HOWEVER, when they type in the IP, the site will resolve. The external site is hosted elsewhere as well, meaning not within the internal network. But, I am trying to get SPS to run under inside.whatever.com, and I believe that I will run into this resolution issue. Any suggestions? I know this is a tough one but any adivce is appreciated...
