Well you've enabled sharing on the wrong connection then. The 10.0.0.1 connection is the one to the other computer. You need to enable sharing on the Internet connection.

I have a Question
WHY DO YOU NEED TO USE PROXY????????????????? I am not using it, and never really used it at home... Are you rerouting your connection or that is the normal setup in India? or?? One thing you can do... get one of your friend's computer with WIN XP OS and try the yahoo messenger... You never know ![]() |

You must enable Internet Connection Sharing on your 192.168.3.45 connection - the one that actually connects the computer to the Internet. I guess this connection is then plugged into a modem/router from where you actuall get your Internet. But DON'T enable sharing on the 10.0.0.1 because this is the wrong one!

Was there any similie you didn't use in that post?
![]() Glad you've got the Internet working ![]() With the Windows XP problem, check that the built-in Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall is disabled. You should find this under the Advanced tab for the connection in Network Connections in the Control Panel. About the second question, this doesn't really have anything to do with this thread, but you need to look in your web server logs. You should be able to configure your webserver to make logs of all the IP addresses that access it. Once you've got the IP address, you can visit http://whois.sc/x.x.x.x to find some info about that IP address (replacing the x with the real IP address). |
