DSL Problems - PPPoA Help Needed
I am trying to get a DSL connection setup using a Linksys HPN100 internal card.
The card is installed correctly, at least as far as I can tell at this point.
I was told by the DSL people that I needed a DMT card and was told by Linksys that the HP100 was a DMT card.
Then I was told by the DSL people that I needed to install a PPPoA protocol (the machine's on Win98 here). But then, I think Linksys told me that PPPoA is not supported by this card (and that only one modem, only available in the UK supports it). So first question - am I just out of luck here, or is there something I could do?
Also, the Linksys person seemed to suggest that adding a router would help, but if the modem does not support PPPoA, using the router won't help at all, right?
Thanks in advance.
