hey guys I have a basic crossover network workgroup (winxp pro) setup and when i try and access pc 2 to copy or delete a file i get an error. i can browse through pc 2 win exporer but cant edit or change files. Was wondering where the configuration or permission was to enable more than just "browsing" in the workgroup on my second pc. appreciate any feedback ![]() |

First thing to check would be the share permissions. Right-click on the folder which is shared in the network, select Properties and click the Sharing tab. Check that the option to allow users on the network to change the files is ticked.
If that doesn't help, try using the same username and password on both computers. On both computers, use a user account which has exactly the same username and password. Then try changing the folder again. HTH, Edwin |
