getting my net connection details
hi,
in my office, the internet connection to my system is made available via the network. i want to know the details of the internet connection such as the ISP being used, the type of internet connection(dial up or leased) etc. though i can get all these details from my system administrator(who is a good friend of mine), i am curious to know if there is any way of knowing these internet details using my system. i am using a Windows 2000(professional edition) thanks in advance. |

Try "ipconfig /all" from a command line or download a copy of wntcfg.exe. That'll give you IP information which is almost certainly only relevant to the LAN side of things. www.whatip.com will tell you the IP the internet sees for your internet connection. Very high probability your internet connection is leased. I mean, you can just pop right on there, right? A sizable office LAN can be quite complex, a smaller peer-to-peer less so, but there are many flavors.
