hardware needed???
Can anybody tell me what hardware is needed to set up a peer to peer and client server network, any help is very much appreciated, as this is for my coursework.

Network cards for each computer, network cables for each computer and a hub/switch. You may also want things like a hardware firewall or router, depending on the network.

If you're connecting computers to a router/hub (rather than two computers directly together) you'll want a straight-through or patch cable.

To be more specific those would be CAT5 or better (ie enhanced CAT5, etc) wired to IEEE 568B standard.
