Hello
I simply need to set up two pc's, using Windows 2000 Pro, to be able to use a network version of Quickbooks. I have a router with DSL service to it, hooked up to the two computers via wired 10/100 ethernet. I am assuming that this is all the connections I need between the 2 computers and that i just need to set up the computers internally to see each other. I need step by step instructions about how to name the computers, protocols, whether to designate one as the server, etc. Is someone willing to help? My email is gebennett@comcast.net if someone wants to use that instead of going through this service. Thank You. Jerry Bennett Northampton, MA |

Use TCP/IP
Put both computers in the same workgroup. Add a common user account in both computers (makes it easier) Add file & printer sharing in your network setups. Share the common QB folder over the network Install qb on both computers following the network installation instructions.
