Help with network wizard (XP)

I have just got some ethernet cards and i wanted to share my internet connection between 2 computers. They are both running under Windows XP Professional. Except when i run the wizard, i get an error stating that the cable is unplugged, which i check both machines and the cable is in. So i have no clue what could be wrong, please any info would help

Are you connecting the two computers directly together? If you are, you'll need a crossover cable, rather than a normal straight-through cable.

No problem.

Let me know if this doesn't help and we'll try to find other problems.
